How Your Donation Helps
Providing food during the holiday season is critical, as much for pets as it is for owners. Your generous donation can help seniors like Willene Weathersby, who wrote a note of gratitude for her dogs Pressie, Pug and Peanut: "I just wanted to thank you for the dog food. They really enjoy it. Without your help, they might have to go hungry some days."
Pumpkin and Helen Get Help from Program

"We are so very grateful to be selected as a recipient for a Banfield Charitable Trust grant award. I have attached a picture of one of our dear clients, Helen with her four year old cat, Pumpkin Pie. Helen made sure that Pumpkin Pie was decked out in a fancy bow for the picture.
Helen receives meals from us every day and Pumpkin Pie also receives his "kitty" meals that are packed by our staff with pet food donated by Phillips Feed & Pet Supply Outlet. Helen lives in a low-income housing building in Bangor, PA. Unable to afford the cost of meals for both she and her cat, Meals On Wheels insures that both receive the nutrition they need. Pumpkin Pie was rescued from the street on a cold snowy day by Helen and since that time, both she and MOW have helped him to become a robust and healthy kitty. Thank you again for your kind support."

Meals On Wheels of Northampton County, Bethlehem, PA
The Banfield Charitable Trust (BCT), in partnership with Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) and Banfield, The Pet Hospital®, is helping feed hungry pets this holiday season with its annual Season of Suppers campaign, a national Pet food drive for pets in need. The campaign aims to feed Pets of homebound seniors who receive meals from Meals on Wheels. The campaign was born out of the realization that, for many seniors, their best friend was not getting enough to eat.
Program Touches Lives in Tracy, California
When the 2008 Season of Suppers began, Rebecca Pope from Banfield, The Pet Hospital of Tracy talked to her friends and family about how they could help support the program. In response, Rebecca’s mom and KinderCare Learning Center, a local daycare, offered to collect donations at their location in Tracy, California. The 24 teachers used the campaign as a platform to teach the center’s nearly 100 children about the gift of giving. In just a few short weeks, kids and their parents collected 15 bags of Pet food!

Scouts Help Seniors
Boy Scouts Keaton and Skylar from a troop in upstate New York help load pet food into volunteers' cars. The troop frequently helps the Meals on Wheels program with the logistics and delivery of pet food. The troop also recently made a financial contribution to the Pet Food Program which they raised by collecting bottles and cans for redemption.
