Banfield, The Pet Hospital®, Banfield Charitable Trust and Bayer Healthcare Will Provide Complimentary Veterinary Care for the Pets Sgt. Peter Neesley Left Behind

 

Portland, Ore. -Wednesday, February 27, 2008- Mama and Boris Neesley, the rescued stray dogs of fallen soldier Sgt. Peter Neesley, 28 from Grosse Point Farms, MI will receive complimentary preventive healthcare plans from Banfield, The Pet Hospital of Chesterfield, MI.  Healthcare costs for Mama and Boris will be covered by Banfield's charitable arm, the Banfield Charitable Trust (BCT).

 

"Our hearts go out to the Neesley family during this difficult time and the BCT is happy to extend a helping hand to ensure that the new members of the Neesley family get the best possible veterinary care to live long, healthy lives," says Sandra Campbell, President, Banfield Charitable Trust. "Our organization is committed to giving back, giving support, and giving hope to the communities in which we serve."

 

Through the BCT, Mama and Boris will receive Banfield Optimum Wellness Plans which provide a package of important preventive care services including: routine vaccinations, office visits and physical exams. In addition, Bayer HealthCare has also agreed to supply Mama and Boris with K9 Advantix®,  a convenient, once-a-month flea, tick, and mosquito control for dogs (and puppies seven weeks of age and older).
