Your Privacy Online
At Banfield Charitable Trust, we are committed to ensuring your privacy. We keep confidential any information you enter. While our website automatically recognizes your Internet Service Provider, you cannot be identified as an individual. When someone makes a donation at banfieldcharitabletrust.org, the donation is verified, completed and encrypted by Groundspring.org, a "donor-advised fund," which is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that collects contributions from donors and distributes those contributions to other nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations in good standing with the IRS as recommended by you, the donor. Your credit card statement therefore lists Groundspring.org and not Banfield Charitable Trust because your donation is to the Groundspring.org donor-advised fund. Groundspring.org then forwards the contribution to Banfield Charitable Trust on your behalf. As required by the IRS, Groundspring.org has exclusive legal control over donations to our donor-advised fund.
